More Power

I take back what I've said earlier about my powerbook's lack of speed not being an issue. I would like more speed, and more ram, and faster disks. I'm ready Mr. Jobs, debug builds kick my machine's ass and I am tired of swap files.

I have 1.5GHz of powerpc and 1GB of decently quick RAM, but I want more more more. When you are developing on things like browsers and running whole web apps on your box for them to interact with, alongside a gazillion gvim and iTerm windows, and Mail, and iCal, and Safari, and Colloquy (whose usage just shot up to 80% cpu for some reason, time to grab a new nightly), and Adium, and don't even get me started on what happens if I accidentally activate dashboard. More power, I say, more.

It's not actually that bad except that I've recently doubled the amount of things I have to run on a regular basis.
